SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to sassa status the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to enable the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
